There are few facial expressions more immediately recognizable than a Democrat who is hearing something they just hate. Their eyes glass over and take on a dead look. You can tell that they are fighting valiantly against the urge to call the speaker "stoooooopid."
Those eyes were in evidence today during a House Transportation Infrastructure subcommittee meeting looking into why more money was not spent on REAL projects like highways. As Chairman James Oberstar (D- Minnesota) described the billions of dollars lost to business by gridlock on our roads, you could tell just by the looks in the witness' eyes whether they were Democrat politicians or businesspeople there to testify. The business people nodded and understood what Oberstar was saying. The people from the Obama administration and Democratic state transportation chiefs sat with barely disguised contempt and their faces twisted into hateful sneers.
Kudos to Oberstar for "getting it." Obama has been wasting money on projects designed not to stimulate the economy, but to stimulate votes in Democrat districts.
Oberstar is on Obama's sh*t list. You can bet on it.
The eyes have it. The dead, hateful stares of Democrats who sincerely want Oberstar to die of a heart attack. Leftists would rather flush the money down toilets than spend it to make automobile traffic more efficient. Their every effort is to DISCOURAGE automobile traffic. Here in Oregon, there is a plan to build a large bridge over the Columbia River to Vancouver, Washington on the 5 Interstate Freeway. Democrats are in hysterics over it. They want a TWO LANE bridge that DELIBERATELY BOTTLENECKS TRAFFIC. They want to deliberately INTERFERE with automobile traffic to encourage people to bicycle over the bridge.... and here is this dinosaur Oberstar saying we should be using stimulus money to make roads better... for BUSINESS!
GAG! Did you HEAR THAT? For BUSINESS!!!!! Oberstar is probably a capitalist!
