Die Quickly: Pot Calls Cotton Ball Black

If anyone could be labeled as having a "die quickly" agenda toward the sick, it would be the proponents of government-run health care.

In Oregon, we have government-run health care for elderly and disabled citizens who don't have insurance. We also have the nation's first euthanasia law.

The combination of these two liberal heartthrob policies is the repeated refusal of the state to treat terminal patients. After all, spending money on the "terminally ill" is seen as wasting good money on a selfish person who refuses to do the right thing and JUST DIE. So, they give them a none-too-subtle nudge in the "right" direction by refusing treatment and offering euthanasia to end their worthless life.

Plainly such a policy says with clarity, "Just crawl off and die like a good citizen."

Once again, Democrats have their finger on the pulse of what would outrage the American electorate. Problem is, it is THEIR policies which are outrageous, yet they accuse Republicans of the VERY outrage which is theirs.

"Die Quickly" is a deplorable government policy, and exactly what we will get under government-run health care.

Ask yourself how many times a cancer patient has been described as having no chance of recovery by their doctors, only to prove them all wrong with a "miraculous" recovery? Well, the Socialist Republic of Oregon does not believe in miracles, let alone miraculous recoveries. Once a patient is deemed to have a small chance of survival, treatment is yanked faster than a Chicago politician can say, "Trust me."

Die quickly, indeed. We can only hope these government health care schemes die quickly.
