or
No, Sarah, There Are No Oregon Death Panels Either
For those who will argue that the "death panel" scenario is a figment
of Sarah Palin's imagination, please google "Oregon +Euthanasia
+Cancer" and variations thereon.
In
Oregon, the government health insurance is reticent treat the terminally ill. They will, however, go out of their way to let the terminal
ill know that they WILL pay for euthanasia.
Oregon has no "Death
Panel" as such. There is not a LAW that says, "Those labeled terminally ill must die if it
isn't financially viable to treat them." What there is in the Oregon public health care option, is EXACTLY WHAT
THERE WILL BE under ObamaCare: The bureaucratic ability of ObamaCare
administrators to "make policy" in administering the program.
No
Death Panels. WORSE THAN THAT: "Death Policies" which cannot be argued
with, reasoned with, or appealed to. Mindless bureaucrats and computers
issuing "decisions" based on policy and labels. No guilt. No panels. Are your "chances of survival" less than 5%? Death to you. "Sorry, it's
not personal that we want you to die... it's just fiscal policy. Our hands are
tied. Have a nice day."
So, when they say there are no "death panels" in the proposed national health insurance law, they are being honest. Yes, Sarah is wrong. Shame on her.
