Honestly, I'm conflicted about the use of Senator Obama's middle name as a political weapon.
He didn't choose his name. It was given him when he was a helpless, innocent baby.
I do feel that Senator Obama should be addressed with the respect for high office that a sitting Senator should receive. Even a Senator we happen to disagree with. And, I don't doubt that Senator Obama is a Christian, and am disturbed by those who suggest otherwise. His sincerity of faith in Jesus Christ is between him and God, and not for me to judge. I am quite happy that he made the choice he did... especially considering the fact that he did so despite undoubtedly strong pressure to become a Muslim.
Senator Obama didn't choose his middle name. However, I can't help but think that it says something about DEMOCRATS in general that - after 9/11 - they choose as their champion a man with a Muslim-Arab name, and the same middle name as the Fascist Muslim Dictator we toppled in a recent war - which said Democrats strongly opposed. There is an element of self-loathing in the Democrats which may be surfacing in their choice of Presidential candidates....
I haven't made up my mind about this..... I look forward to reading the level-headed views of fellow conservatives on the subject.
